If you are five warps from the black hole, ten percent of your stuff gets pulled one sector closer, per day. Closer than that and it is the inverse square rule: 4: 20% 3: 40% 2: 80% 1: What are you doing one sector from a black hole, you crazy?!
It would need to grow--shrink--whatever black holes do as it eats things. It might be fun to corner someone, drop toll fighters in adjacent sectors, and ping them with one fighter, so that they automatically flee towards the black hole. Drop a fighter and move in. I love it... someone could write a botlink add-on for this

Re: Warp between games?
The hexagonal universe was how I visualized TW, if warps were orderly, but they are randomly jumbled, and I am glad they are.

Re: Warp between games?
Well, without being able to "impulse" from one sector to another, wouldn't warping technically be moving from one sector to a nonadjacent one, in an extremely limited fashion? Sectors might as well occupy different dimensions of the same space if warps do not have any relevance to geography.

Re: Warp between games?
Exactly... The physical distance to the destination is irrelevant...

Re: Warp between games?
So, can anyone explain a planar graph with hand puppets? That is the only way that I understand anything!

Funny, but once you turn ansi off, and don't see the starscape for t-warping, then its more like folding space than moving a distance quickly.
