I've been running TWGS on WINE for script testing and whatnot. When I connect to it on the local loopback, it's extremely fast. But when I connect over my 100MBPS LAN, it's ridiculously slow. It feels like I'm playing on a 9600 baud modem.

Anyone know of any WINE tweaks that might improve the network performance?

Since you're running Wine on Linux I would try the DRTCP utility located on DSLreports.com

Hopefully it will run under wine too and you can set things like how big the sliding window is and other things.

http://www.dslreports.com/faq/2014 should be the correct link on how to use drtcp

Did this help? :)

That gives me an idea. It might have something to do with the native MTU. It's currently set to 1500 on the network interfaces and 16k on the loopback.
