I still don't get it.

Either its a timed game or it isn't.

How would u write a sysop script for "at keys"

I would just auto relog back in if kicked off.

Would I be allowed 5 minutes to go to the loo?

Where is the line? I am kicked off for the day? Character removed?

I think i will just play the game as designed. All this weirdness is too much for my little head

Agreed this type of "spying" is not called for. I don't want anyone to watch what I'm doing or listen in on conversations.

Monitoring who is at keys would require disrupting a game for the player. If I am running a script then a response may not possible to a question to see if I am "live" without possibly hosing things up. I can be live and not moving, but not really paying attention to the game - ie., reading these forums.

Parrothead brought up a valid question on the penalty for being AFK, and I can think of valid reasons for going AFK. I've had things come up and left fully intending to be right back, and end up gone for an extended time. So now you could have an Op making judgement calls on what is a valid (and truthful) reason for being AFK.

Play the game as if your competition is online and it won't matter if they are there or not.

I'm wondering what people think of sysops playing on their own server. Not trying to start another forums war, which is why I posted this here, and not in Smack.

Opinions please.

I have played games with the server sysop. As long as your players respect you, and you are 100% above board honestly playing, and open about it. (Don't try to hide under a dupe account.) You'll be fine. There will always be those paranoid few who assume if you do well you MUST be using tedit, you don't need those type on your server anyway.
