I think any of the OS's will run the TWGS.  Consider what you plan to run other than the TWGS.  In my case I run nothing but the TWGS on my box.  But if you run any Virus/spyware stuff figure out what best runs that right now.  I'd say XP would be your best bet in that case.  I run XP Pro on my system.

i run win2k pro because it is stable and doesn't phone home every time i reinstall it. not that i have to reinstall it often. but if this machine dies (used server i got off ebay) then i don't lose money because win2k will install on whatever used box i buy next. i don't run any virus scanner or firewall because i have a good firewall gateway machine protecting my network from direct attack and i eliminate the largest virus vector by not using email *at all* on the twgs box. if you plan to use your twgs machine for more than just twgs, then perhaps XP is a better choice.

I agree with Rev (again) 2K is a great OS for TW and on my system it came with XP on it so I left it and it runs well on it.  I don't browse the internet or email at all, not even icq is installed on the machine.  I have TWGS, ZOC, and a few utilities to run for the webpage, but that's it.
When you want to run other programs like spyware blockers or virus software, most recomend XP, but will run on 2000.  Just remember most newer softwares are geared for XP or even Vista now, so it may bog the cpu running 2000 even though it meets the "minimum" requirements.
