As promised, here is the site to see the program that I am working on. If you think certain stats need to be added to the stats page let me know, it only takes a few seconds to add. Please let me know what you think.. Join one of the games and then refresh the stats page you will then see the program at work.

I did notice i had an issue with my task scheduler, for some reason it just stopped running every 60 seconds, so I found a new one and it seems to be more stable.

Will you be making this script available to other SysOps? Would be interested in having the same here at Outpost. Layout is nice, and it certainly would make it easier for us to have the stats/scores on the same page as the game listing rather than two seperate pages.

Well your in luck, I put up a downloadable demo, you are more than welcome to try it out.. (if it will work for your host) My program is basicly a perl script compiled to an EXE, then packed and renamed to CGI. I use XITAMI as a web server and i am able to get around some limitations being that I host my own..

I havent set a cost for registration but it will be cheap, however. If someone was interested I would sell the RAW perl source code to this program and all right to it for $60.. Which happen to be the cost of TWGS and a GOLD upgrade. any takers? With the raw perl code, you could make it work on any web host that support perl.

Give me an IDEA of how you would like to see it layed out and I can build a link and add it to the main page. Only takes a second.

One quick note I see on the demo, Ferrengi Home sector should not be listed.  It's part of the game to have to hunt and find it.  I also like to include most of the data shown, it's all helpful to those looking for specific game settings to test a script, or just like to play with only certain settings.  Here is what I list.  I delete out some data, but this is what remains:

If we can make this data available on a layout, I'd be more than happy to help you purchase your TWGS Gold

I have added all the stats you requested and made a link called Custom C, also changed the columns for this display to 3, that way its not as long. But the layout is completly controled by HTML so it can look like any site or layout you would need. Let me know if this is what you had in mind. also please continue to point out things that should be removed or added

NEW FEATURE!

Added a realtime "active nodes list" want to see it in action? Go to the site and join a game, then go to the active node link. It updates every 60 seconds, you do not have to hit refresh, as the pages that have stats auto refresh every 60 seconds.

Wow. This looks great DarkNight. Keep up the great work.

Just thought I would follow up on my last post. This was amazingly easy to get up and running. Took me less than ten minutes. Most of that time was spent getting Apache to allow CGI to run. A few edits to scores.bat and I was in business.

When do you think we'll be seeing a non-demo version?

Thanks,

Don

I just noticed this. I am not a programmer so I am not interested in the code, but I would be willing to pay $60 for it just to get the full listings going on my web page Maybe you could open source it and give me credit in your help file or something. Shoot an e-mail to sysop-at-tmcbbs.com if you are interested.

Thanks,

Don

Ok, I have updated the demo to the latest version, and put a buy button on the site. The cost is a measly $10.. i'm glad to hear you got it working. I'd love to see how you layed it out. So shoot me a link. Plus get the new version with the new features added.

BTW did you use the system task scedular to move the files or did you use another one. I picked one called queit because it allows you to process by the minute.
