I am having trouble downloading and installing the twtools. I seem to be able to download the file from the site but when I try to run the TOOLS100.exe (1,143,092 bytes) I get a dos window that opens and closes very fast and no tools install. I am running Windows XP. I have tried the compatibility modes but no joy. I have downloaded it from both EIS and from a mirror with the same results. Maverick |

There was a trick to doing this, trying to remember I think you have to warmboot after you run the exe file, you then check in the command center in the menu bar it has some info about the gold tools… (gaining access to the editors gold exentions will let you access the gold features, otherwise you will get an alert telling you they need to first be installed, (referring to the gold tools)) I think the TWGS has to be running, but offline to (though maybe it has to be closed out all together, I am winging this one.) Also, I don’t think you actually see any visual confirmation about the gold tools being installed it just a quick little program that runs… my suggestions may be less then accurate, as it has been about 2-years since I last messed with that file. |

I am so used to seeing an installation dialog of some kind. The tools fooled me, they are installed. Learn something new 20 times a day. Thanks for the help fellas. Mav |

Vulcan, you know why the tools are not just included with the original install? I always wondered about that, could that be an easy future fix fo JP to have worked on? |
